PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk urges the public to be more cautious of various job recruitment scams carried out in the name of the company and its subsidiaries, which have recently been circulating widely on social media.

PT TIMAH firmly states that the company is not currently conducting employee recruitment. Therefore, the public is advised not to easily trust job vacancy information distributed through text messages, social media, or irresponsible parties.

As is widely known, false recruitment information claiming to represent PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk is currently circulating across various social media platforms and WhatsApp groups.

One of the common methods used by scammers is sending fake job interview invitations designed to resemble official company letters. Victims are then asked to transfer a sum of money for transportation, accommodation, administration fees, or other expenses that are promised to be reimbursed later.

PT TIMAH reminds the public that all official information related to employee recruitment is only announced through the company's official channels, namely PT TIMAH's official website www.timah.com and its official social media account @officialtimah.

In addition, the company urges the public to be more careful when receiving recruitment information and not to be tempted by job offers that require payments, promise guaranteed acceptance, or claim to represent company officials.

"PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk would like to inform the public that the company is currently not conducting any recruitment or hiring of new employees," said PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan.

Furthermore, Anggi emphasized that all recruitment processes are completely free of charge. Every recruitment process is officially announced and conducted only through the company's official channels.

"The public is expected to be wiser and more careful to avoid becoming victims of fraud," Anggi said.

The public is also encouraged to always verify information through the company's official channels before trusting or sharing any job vacancy information. (*)
