Elm Park Playground to Close for Renovations

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Department of Parks, Recreation & Cemetery announced Monday the closure of the Elm Park Playground for repairs, effective Sept. 12, 2025.

Following testing of the recently installed safety surface at the Elm Park Playground, it was determined the contractor did not properly install the surface. A new surface was ordered and will be installed at no cost to the municipality.

The playground is expected to reopen early Fall. Residents are encouraged to visit other playgrounds at Wetherell Estate Park, Beaver Brook Park, and Coes Park.
