NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
LAS 36151
DAYLLEN CLIFTON

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southeast Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: DAYLLEN CLIFTON

PROJECT NAME: LAS 36151

ENCLOSED DOCUMENTS: Application, Site Diagram

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Jamestown Bay, adjacent to Guertin Island, City and Borough of Sitka

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Section 6, Township 56 South, Range 64 East, Copper River Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land and Water has received a Land Use Permit application for Dayllen Clifton (applicant) for the year-round moorage of a personal use, residential floathouse on State-owned tide and submerged lands within Jamestown Bay in the City and Borough of Sitka. The floathouse consists of one (1) 26' x 50' main float, one (1) 12' x 50' work float, and one (1) 6' x 13' float for water storage. The floathouse is secured to the submerged lands with six (6) 500 pound concrete anchors and to the privately-owned uplands with four (4) shoreties. The permit term is for 5 years.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: August 10, 2026
End: August 9, 2031

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: July 31, 2026

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southeast Regional Land Office, 400 Willoughby Avenue/PO Box 111020, Juneau, AK 99811-1020 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above.
