Community Resources Available to Those Impacted by Fires

Resources area available across the Spokane region for people impacted by wildfire evacuations, response, and recovery. Community members are encouraged to utilize these services and assistance.
Evacuation Services

YMCA of the Inland Northwest is opening their doors at their North, South, Valley, and Central Spokane locations for showers and other temporary respite needs. Personal identification will be required for access. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Spokane County Veterans Services The Mann Grand-Staff VA Medical Center has been evacuated. Medical services for veterans can be accessed at 509-477-3690 or email?[email protected]

Drop-In Childcare
Spokane Public Schools will offer a free, emergency drop-in camp for children to assist Nine Mile Falls, Mead, and Spokane Public Schools families impacted by fires. Ages 4 and older are welcome. This is intended to give parents and caregivers impacted by wildfires a safe place for their children while they take a break, run errands, or address other immediate needs. Certificated SPS staff will supervise activities, and lunch will be provided at noon through the federal free summer meals program. Questions? Reach out to SPS at spokaneschools.org/contact.
