A new era of Homecoming begins at UC San Diego Nov. 5-8, with celebrations, athletics, entertainment and plenty of ways to show your Triton spirit. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, families and friends are invited to join the festivities and experience a new gathering place on campus.

At the heart of this year's Homecoming is the grand opening of the Triton Alumni and Welcome Center - a place for journeys home and for new Triton journeys as they begin. Whether you're exploring the new center, enjoying live entertainment or cheering on Triton basketball, here are five events you won't want to miss.

1. Triton Center Block Party

Friday, Nov. 6, 2-6 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 7, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Town Square and Carlos Malamud Plaza

Be part of a historic campus celebration with two days of live entertainment, cultural showcases, interactive experiences, alumni-owned businesses and a special Friday evening performance. Alumni who register and tour the new center will receive a complimentary pair of limited-edition, commemorative Triton sunglasses from Knockaround, founded by alumnus Adam Moyer '08.

2. Triton Fan Fest

Saturday, Nov. 7, 5-7 p.m.

RIMAC Field

Get in the game day spirit at Triton Fan Fest leading up to the Homecoming men's basketball game against Fresno State. Fan Fest will include free food and drinks, music, inflatables, lawn games and a performance by campus spirit groups. Your ticket to the basketball game is your ticket to Fan Fest.

3. Men's Basketball vs. Fresno State

Saturday, Nov. 7, 7 p.m.

LionTree Arena

Celebrate Triton basketball as the team begins its final season in the Big West before moving to the West Coast Conference next year. The first 1,000 students and 1,000 general public fans will receive a Triton basketball T-shirt. Tickets are on sale now.

4. Triton Center Tours

Nov. 6-7

Triton Alumni and Welcome Center

Be among the first to explore the new Triton Alumni and Welcome Center on a self-guided tour. Explore interactive experiences on the first floor, then make your way to Tritons on the Terrace to take in the stunning view of campus from the sixth floor.

5. Triton Alumni Bash

Saturday, Nov. 7, 4-6 p.m.

Ridgewalk Social

Elevate your Triton spirit at an exclusive gathering for alumni and their guests, complete with delicious food, drinks and fun activities to get you ready for the game before tipoff.
