Bloomington Drivers Save With Unleaded 88

Burnsville, July 1 - The Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association (MN Bio-Fuels) held an hour-long Unleaded 88 promotion at the Gas For Less station in Bloomington today.

During the event, which was held from 12 pm to 1 pm, drivers who fueled up with Unleaded 88 at the station won prizes such as $20 in cash, Target gift cards, Dairy Queen gift cards and MN Bio-Fuels merchandise.

Today's event was part of a summer-long campaign by MN Bio-Fuels to promote Unleaded 88 at stations throughout the Twin Cities metro. The Gas For Less station is located at 2625 West Old Shakopee Road in Bloomington.

In the first quarter of 2026, Minnesota drivers have saved nearly $5 million at the pump with Unleaded 88, according to data from the Minnesota Department of Commerce.

In the first three months of this year, 33 million gallons of Unleaded 88 was sold in Minnesota. According to the Minnesota Department of Commerce, the average price of regular 87 octane fuel during the quarter was $2.88 a gallon while the average price of Unleaded 88 was $2.73 a gallon.

This translated to an average savings of $0.15 a gallon in the first quarter and yielded a total savings of $4.95 million at the pump for Minnesotans.
