Training on legal safeguards to prevent and address labour exploitation

FRA delivered a presentation on EU law safeguards to prevent and address labour exploitation among non-EU workers during a training seminar. FRA's focus was on the practical implementation of safeguards by labour inspectors, drawing on the key recommendations of FRA's Manual for Labour Inspectors.

FRA contributed alongside the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the European Labour Authority.

The seminar addressed International Labour Standards and labour exploitation in the construction and agriculture sectors.

The training brought together approximately 30 participants from national governments, labour inspectorates, and workers' and employers' organisations to discuss challenges and strategies for addressing labour exploitation.

The ILO's International Training Centre organised the online seminar. It took place on 7 July.
