Chairman Scott Releases 2025 Banking Committee Year-in-Review

Washington, D.C. - Today, Chairman Tim Scott (R-S.C.) released his 2025 Year-in-Review Report, highlighting Senate Banking Committee Republicans' accomplishments over the past year. After a busy first session of the 119th Congress, Chairman Scott has delivered on the commitment he made when he ascended to Chairman of the Committee. He promised to restore the Committee to regular order, deliver real results for the American people, and ensure its work reflects the values of opportunity, accountability, and fairness that define the United States of America.

From advancing an array of bipartisan legislation, to confirming a historic number of executive nominees, to conducting rigorous oversight of the nation's financial regulators, the Committee has been hard at work for the American people.

"When I became Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, I made a clear commitment: restore regular order, deliver real results, and ensure the Committee works for the American people. Over the past year, we've proven that principled leadership and a serious legislative process can still produce meaningful outcomes - from expanding access to housing and strengthening consumer protections to providing long-overdue regulatory clarity for digital assets and pushing back on unaccountable rulemaking," said Chairman Scott. "These priorities are personal to me because I believe opportunity should never be limited by zip code or circumstance. I'm proud of the work this Committee has done to restore transparency, accountability, and trust in our financial system. As we look ahead, the Senate Banking Committee will continue to work with purpose and resolve to build an economy that rewards hard work, protects taxpayers, and keeps American innovation anchored at home."

Throughout the first session of the 119th Congress, Chairman Scott led Senate Banking Committee Republicans in restoring regular order and delivering real results for the American people. The Committee made significant progress on priorities central to economic opportunity and national competitiveness - expanding access to affordable housing, strengthening consumer protections, advancing long-overdue regulatory clarity for digital assets, and pushing back on unaccountable and politicized rulemaking. These efforts reflected a renewed commitment to transparency, serious policy work, and a legislative process rooted in open debate.

As the Committee looks ahead to the year to come, Chairman Scott and Banking Committee Republicans remain focused on building an economy that rewards hard work, protects taxpayers, and keeps American innovation anchored at home - ensuring opportunity is never limited by zip code or circumstance.
