Alaskan Region Members Meet with Senator Lisa Murkowski

Last month, several leaders from NATCA's Alaskan Region met with U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski during the annual Iditarod Dog Sled Races - Alaskan Regional Vice President Clint Lancaster, NLC Alaskan Region Alternate Aaron Novak, NLC Alaskan Region Rep. Robert Kindred and their wives joined Senator Murkowski during the weekend's festivities. They discussed scheduling a visit to Anchorage ATCT (ANC) and Anchorage TRACON (A11), as well as the plans for a new tower and TRACON. This event offered a great opportunity for NATCA to build strong relationships with the senator and make sure our Union's priorities, including insulating our members from the financial impacts of future government shutdowns and the Mental Health in Aviation Act.
