NEXT WEEK: Congressman Pat Ryan to Host Affordability Telephone Town Hall As War in Iran Reaches Sixth Month and Hudson Valley Families Continue to Face Rising Costs
Congressman Ryan will host a Telephone Town Hall on Monday, August 31st at 5:30pm
The town hall comes one year after the passage of Trump's domestic spending bill, which cut $1 trillion from healthcare and SNAP to pay for billionaire tax credits
It also comes as the US enters the sixth month of war with Iran, which has caused prices across the board - especially gas - to further skyrocket for Hudson Valley families
KINGSTON, NY - Today, Congressman Pat Ryan announced he'll be holding an Affordability Telephone Town Hall next week on August 31st, at 5:30pm, to connect with Hudson Valley residents and discuss the financial pressures facing our communities as costs continue to rise due to Trump's war in Iran and chaotic tariff policies.
The town hall comes one year after Republicans pushed through Trump's so-called "Big Beautiful Bill," which cut over a trillion dollars from essential programs that Hudson Valley families rely on - including Medicaid and SNAP - and added nearly $4 trillion to the national debt to fund Trump's unprecedented tax breaks for billionaires.
"I pick my fights in Washington based directly on what matters to you, my community. It's the most important part of this job. That's why I am inviting everyone in the Hudson Valley to join my Telephone Town Hall next Monday, " said Congressman Pat Ryan. "Since Trump took office for the second time, our community has borne the brunt of his harmful, cost-raising policies; from tariffs to healthcare cuts to this reckless war in Iran. Every fight we've won, we've won together. That's why I look forward to taking your questions, listening to your concerns, and discussing with our community where we go from here. Every single day, I promise to fight for you and against anyone who would do you harm."
Congressman Ryan's Telephone Town Hall will take place on Monday, August 31st at 5:30pm. Participants can join by calling (833) 980-3644, and can view the livestream at PatRyan.house.gov/live.
Congressman Ryan has consistently elevated the importance of constituent services and being accessible to members of the Hudson Valley community. Ryan's team hosts multiple events across the district each week with the C.A.R.E.S. Van - Ryan's mobile office - and has helped recover more than $40 million to individual residents from federal programs and agencies.
