ASSET SALE: GridStor acquires 199 MW Birdseye storage project in Adams County, CO

GridStor acquired the 199 MW/796 MWh Birdseye storage project from Accelergen in Adams County, Colorado, according to a press release.

The Birdseye battery energy storage system (BESS) project is slated for a COD at the end of 2028, with construction anticipated to begin as early as 2027.

NPM Interconnection queue data is tracking a 199 MW pre-operational storage project in Adams County with a point-of-interconnection (POI) location Riverdale 230 kV Substation.

The price of the deal was not disclosed.

Backed by Goldman Sachs Asset Management, GridStor is currently managing 540 MW of BESS assets in operation and construction and has a pipeline of over 3 GW BESS in later-stage development across the Western and Central US.

Accelergen also sold two four-battery energy storage projects in Salt Lake County, Utah to DESRI in a deal announced last month.
