Join Us May 9, 2026 for LAFD 'Fire Service Day' (Citywide Open Firehouse Celebration)

The men and women of your Los Angeles Fire Department warmly welcome you to visit an LAFD Fire Station on Saturday, May 9, 2026, between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

The second Saturday of each May is designated as "Fire Service Day" in the city of Los Angeles -- a citywide open firehouse celebration, when we plan and prepare for your visit to a neighborhood fire station.

This year, our theme is "Forward Together: Building a More Resilient Los Angeles," emphasizing a shared commitment to progress and preparedness, and highlighting how continued investment, innovation, and partnership are strengthening Los Angeles for the challenges ahead.

We're excited to have you visit on Saturday, May 9, to meet your LAFD team firsthand and see the tools and training you have helped provide. More importantly, we're eager to understand your concerns regarding life safety and emergency response -- and help you establish a personal plan for disaster preparedness.

While all LAFD neighborhood fire stations* welcome your visit between 10 AM and 4 PM on Saturday, May 9, 2026, the following focal sites will also offer special LAFD displays and demonstrations, as well as introduce this year's four Honorary Fire Chiefs:

The following stations will extend their open house to Sunday, May 10th for those exercising religious observances on Saturday:

*NOTE: Because Fire Stations 51, 80 and 114 are located on secure airport grounds, they regretfully cannot be open to the public.

Some LAFD stations will be offering special food, fun, and more -- their Fire Service Day 2026 event flyers will be updated below as the date nears!
