On behalf of the United States of America, I offer our warmest wishes to the people of Chile on the occasion of their 215th anniversary of independence.
The United States values its partnership with the Chilean people, rooted in commitments to addressing regional challenges and fostering mutual prosperity. Chile's efforts to accept repatriated Chilean nationals and its collaboration with U.S. law enforcement agencies to prevent the movement of criminals between our countries are vital contributions to addressing regional challenges.
Our robust trade relationship provides jobs in both countries and strengthens our economies. We look forward to continuing discussions on commercial opportunities in critical sectors, including lithium, copper, and Chile's growing digital landscape, ensuring these developments rely on trusted suppliers to promote economic security and innovation.
As Chile celebrates its independence, we reaffirm our commitment to working together to build a safer, more prosperous future for our region.
