In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the City of Miami Department of Solid Waste will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026. There will be no garbage, recycling, or bulky trash collection on this day. All services will resume during normal operating hours on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

Residents are asked to hold all materials until their next scheduled collection day. Garbage, recycling, and bulky trash must be placed curbside in the public right-of-way at least five feet away from all objects and no earlier than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup.

The Mini Dump Facility, located at 1290 NW 20th Street, will also be closed on Monday, January 19, and will reopen on Tuesday, January 20, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Proof of City of Miami residency is required.
