The science magazine of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment) is now also available as a website at External Link:bfr2go.de. This allows readers to access the articles in BfR2GO even more easily and conveniently on smartphones and tablet computers - and to share them effortlessly via messaging services or social media platforms. "With bfr2go.de, our background articles and interviews will reach even more readers in the future, helping us inform the public about key issues in consumer health protection," says BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment President Andreas Hensel. While the magazine was previously only available online as a PDF, the articles on the new website can now also be read in a format optimised for mobile devices.
Even in its new mobile version, BfR2GO remains true to its core principle: presenting complex topics in clear language and with an appealing, modern design. This approach makes scientific findings and research results accessible and easy to understand for a broad audience, while ensuring that all information remains scientifically sound and reliable.
The current issue addresses topics such as so-called "forever chemicals" (PFAS), lead in food, and the health risks associated with raw milk, which is often promoted as a "superfood" on social media.
Concise and rich in content, BfR2GO provides up-to-date and well-founded information on research and its assessment in consumer health protection as well as on the protection of laboratory animals. Each issue of the magazine highlights a topic from one of the BfR's areas of work as its main focus. In addition, it includes reports, interviews, and updates from across the institute's various fields of activity.
