Rep. Mullin Opposes Republicans’ Bloated Defense Budget, Trump’s Iran War

Washington, D.C. - Instead of helping families here at home, Republicans want to spend billions more in taxpayer dollars on Trump's illegal and unpopular war with Iran, further balloon the national debt, and make it harder for Americans to vote - that's why I voted NO on the National Defense Authorization Act.

I refuse to give President Trump a blank check to continue his forever war with no exit strategy, absolutely no approval from Congress, and against the will of the American people.

Americans are struggling to afford basic necessities like groceries and health care because of Republicans' horrible budget bills, and now they're pushing a bloated $1 trillion defense budget.

Trump's war has already cost the lives of U.S. service members and countless civilians, drained billions of our taxpayer dollars, and driven gas prices through the roof.

Republicans are also weaseling in their unrelated voter suppression effort, the so-called "SAVE America Act," because they're afraid to face Americans at the ballot box this November.

The American people deserve stability, restraint, and leadership that prioritizes their security and well-being. Instead, Republicans and Trump are pushing their "America Last" budget while trying to make it harder for voters to kick them out of office.
