Webster Votes to Cut Red Tape and Strengthen American Energy Production

Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, voted to pass H.R. 4690, the Reliable Federal Infrastructure Act, and H.R. 5587, the Harnessing Energy At Thermal Sources (HEATS) Act, legislation that repeals burdensome federal building mandates and streamlines permitting requirements to restore balance to energy policy and strengthen domestic energy production.

"For too long, Washington has imposed costly, one-size-fits-all mandates that drive up prices and limit American energy potential," said Rep. Webster. "The Reliable Federal Infrastructure Act repeals burdensome federal building mandates that have led to increased construction costs, delayed timelines and reliance on less efficient energy sources. The HEATS Act removes barriers that have slowed geothermal energy development and would allow projects to move forward without costly bureaucratic reviews.

"Together, these bills remove unnecessary red tape, unleash American energy production, and help bring down costs."
