ICC YAAF regional representatives play a pivotal role in advancing ICC YAAF's mission to connect young lawyers and in-house counsel and to strengthen ties within the international arbitration and ADR community.

New ICC YAAF representatives will start a two-and-a-half-year mandate in July 2026 working in parallel with current members until official handover at the ICC YAAF Global Conference on 13 October 2026, during the annual arbitration conference of ICC United Kingdom.

Through regional event organisation, local outreach initiatives and engagement with key stakeholders - including law firms, corporates and ICC national committees - ICC YAAF regional representatives facilitate dialogue between young practitioners and experienced professionals while fostering both regional and global connections within the ICC global dispute resolution network. As ambassadors of ICC Dispute Resolution Services, regional representatives contribute to capacity building, knowledge sharing and the visibility of ICC's tools and services for dispute resolution and avoidance worldwide. Events may be held in person, virtually or in hybrid format, enabling broader participation beyond geographical boundaries.

"ICC YAAF has a special place in my heart and was essential to the development of my career. I served as Chair of then YAF, when it was only in the United States. It was how I began to get involved with ICC, where I developed various skills and strengthened my network."

Claudia Salomon, President, ICC International Court of Arbitration, who was an ICC YAAF Representative for North America from 2008-2011

Practitioners interested in becoming ICC YAAF Representatives can submit their applications through the dedicated application website, where requirements for the position can also be found.

Open to young dispute resolution practitioners aged 40 and under, ICC YAAF provides a range of opportunities for individuals to gain knowledge, develop skills, build networks and garner a better understanding of ICC's Dispute Resolution Services. The global ICC YAAF network connects over 45,000 practitioners across seven Regional Chapters in Africa, Middle East, North Asia, South Asia, Europe and Central Asia, Latin America and North America. Learn more about the ICC Arbitration and ADR Forum (YAAF) or contact your regional Head of Chapter.
