Governor Kim Reynolds has ordered all flags in Iowa to be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, in honor and remembrance of Robert W. Pratt, a former lawyer and federal judge who served in the U.S. Southern District of Iowa from 1997 to 2023. Judge Pratt died Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the age of 78.
Flags will be at half-staff on the State Capitol Building and on flag displays in the Capitol Complex. Flags will also be at half-staff on all public buildings, grounds and facilities throughout the state.
