Mayor Reappoints St. Louis Workforce Development Board, Strengthening Citywide Workforce Leadership

ST. LOUIS, MO - Mayor Cara Spencer has reappointed the following
members of the St. Louis Workforce Development Board (SLWDB),
renewing their terms through December 31, 2027. Each member's prior term was set to expire at the end of 2025.

The SLWDB provides strategic leadership and oversight for workforce programs implemented by the St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE). The 25-member board is composed of volunteer leaders appointed by the Mayor and represents local businesses, labor organizations, public agencies, and community partners.

SLATE Executive Director Connie L. Johnson congratulates the
reappointed members and emphasizes the importance of their continued leadership.

"The expertise and commitment of our volunteer board members are essential to strengthening St. Louis' workforce," said Johnson. "Their collaboration with SLATE and the State of Missouri helps create opportunities for both job seekers and employers across the city. We are grateful for their continued partnership."

In January 2026, the Board will conduct officer elections and complete required actions related to SLATE Missouri Job Center recertification and updates to the SLWDB Local Plan, in accordance with the Missouri Division of Workforce Development.
