DALLAS - Students at D.A. Hulcy STEAM Middle School are keeping tradition alive through their dynamic step team. Founded in 2017, the program introduced middle schoolers to the rich history of stepping while building discipline, teamwork, and confidence. Beyond performances at school and community events, the step team inspires students to envision future opportunities in high school, college, and beyond.

Families are invited to attend Fam Jam
Dallas ISD families are invited to the next Fam Jam, from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Feb. 28, at John Lewis Social Justice Academy at Oliver Wendell Holmes. This event will feature free health screenings, immunizations, academic activities, and resources to support students and families. With prizes, activities, and community connections, Fam Jam is all about bringing families, schools, and communities together.

Students at W.E. Greiner Exploratory Arts Academy celebrated Black History Month with a Harlem Renaissance inspired day. Dressed in attire reflecting the era, students embraced the spirit of the decade and showcased their learning through a special performance. The event highlighted the rich cultural contributions of the Harlem Renaissance and provided students with an engaging way to reflect on the lasting impact on art, music, and literature.
