The City of Santa Fe is updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP), and community input is an important part of the process.
The HMP identifies and analyzes the City's vulnerabilities to natural and human-caused hazards, and outlines actions to reduce the impacts of disasters, minimize property damage, and reduce loss of life. The plan is updated every five years in accordance with the federal Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000.
Residents, organizations, businesses, and interested stakeholders are encouraged to participate in a virtual public workshop and complete a public survey to help guide strategies that reduce disaster risks and reflect the needs of the entire community.
