An undercover investigation into tips and complaints concerning 66 Spa, 3221 Nolensville Pike, led to today's confirmation of prostitution activities occurring there and the execution of search warrants at the business and at the Valeria Street residence of the suspected owner/operator.
An undercover detective who went into 66 Spa today was quoted a price of $300 for a massage and sex. The worker, Lin Chen, 50, was arrested on charges of prostitution and impersonating a licensed professional (masseuse). The search of the business led to the discovery of condoms, new and used.
The suspected owner/operator of 66 Spa, Jing Chen, 59, was arrested off-site on a felony charge of promoting prostitution. She was in possession of the keys to the business and the cell phone that received calls on behalf of 66 Spa.
Jing Chen was placed on probation for one year last October after being convicted of impersonating a licensed professional, a felony. That arrest was associated with the prostitution investigation into another spa she operated in South Nashville. As part of her probation, Jing Chen was not supposed to be operating massage businesses. A promoting prostitution charge from last year's case was dismissed as part of her guilty plea to the impersonating offense.
This investigation is being led by the Specialized Investigations and Special Victims Divisions of the MNPD.
