BOISE- The Idaho Division of Motor Vehicles is pleased to share that the Ada County DMV at 9115 W. Chinden Blvd. in Garden City is now operating as a fully hybrid location. Customers can complete both vehicle registration and driver's license services at this office without making an appointment.
Ada County Assessor Rebecca Arnold said her office serves roughly 300 customers a day at the Chinden location. "We want to respect people's time and continue providing excellent service," Arnold said.
Ada County Commission Chairman Rod Beck noted the location's visibility and accessibility. "Thousands of commuters pass this site every day. We appreciate the Assessor's Office expanding services to make getting a driver's license even easier in Ada County," Beck said.
"Expanding access to essential services is a priority for our team," said DMV Administrator Lisa McClellan. "The hybrid model helps us support Ada County's high customer volume while improving convenience for the community."
Appointments are still required at the Ada County Sheriff's Office driver's license locations in Boise (400 N. Benjamin Lane), Meridian (736 S. Progress Ave.), and Star (10769 W. State Street).
