Capito Secures CDS Allocation for Lily’s Place

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a leader on the Appropriations Committee, announced a Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) allocation for Lily's Place in Huntington, W.Va.

This funding will support the expansion of the City of Huntington's COMPASS Program, which aims to address the health and wellbeing of first responders. Right now, the program is exclusive to the City of Huntington police departments. This investment will provide the necessary resources to expand access to the program through Lily's Place for all police officers, firefighters, EMTs, 911 dispatchers, and family members in the Huntington area.

"Lily's Place has supported countless families in West Virginia, and I am thrilled to bring these additional resources in to bolster their services. This vital investment will open the door for an amazing partnership to provide direct support to all first responders and their families in the Huntington area," Senator Capito said. "I am proud to have led the effort to fund the expansion of this vital program, and I look forward to the positive impact it will have on the lives of those who fight for ours every day."
