Roadwork Update: Hamilton Road construction scheduled to start Monday

BLOOMINGTON, IL - Hamilton Road construction between Bunn Street and Commerce Parkway is scheduled to start as early as Monday, September 29, 2025. Roadwork project schedules may change depending on weather and other factors.

The project will deliver roadway and infrastructure improvements along Hamilton Road, Bunn Street, and Rhodes Lane. This phase includes hot-mix asphalt pavement, new curb and gutter, storm sewer installation, sidewalks, a new railroad crossing, a multi-use path, watermain upgrades, fencing, and other related work outlined in the plans and special provisions.

While traffic will remain open during construction, motorists should expect impacts from construction activities. The contractor will stage operations to maintain access for residents and businesses throughout the project. Traffic impacts for the initial stage of construction will be on Rhodes Lane between Bunn Street and Morrissey Drive.
