DALLAS - T he Dallas ISD Police Department presented a certificate of appreciation to local Sam's Club team members to thank them for their support following a recent officer-involved incident on store property. While officers worked to secure and investigate the scene, store staff stepped up by providing food and drinks to sustain response teams. The recognition served as a gesture of gratitude for their support, highlighting the importance of strong community relationships during critical moments.

Oak Cliff bands prepare for a friendly face-off
A friendly rivalry will step into the spotlight at 6 p.m., Friday, Aug. 28, as Sunset and W.H. Adamson high schools face off in the Oak Cliff Classic Battle of the Bands inside the Sunset gymnasium. Both bands will bring their best sound, energy, and school spirit for a lively showcase of student talent and pride
