Most City offices are closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. Select services and facilities will operate on a holiday schedule.

No garbage or recycling collections will take place on September 7. Monday collections will take place on Tuesday, September 8, and Tuesday collections will take place on Wednesday, September 9. The White Street Landfill, Solid Waste Transfer Station, and the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center are closed on September 7.

The Greensboro Public Libraries, Greensboro History Museum, and Greensboro Cultural Center are closed on September 7.

On September 7, the Greensboro Transit Agency (GTA) and Access GSO will operate on a weekend schedule from 6 am to 10 pm. Route 1 Crossmax Purple will run every 30 minutes, but all other GTA routes will run every 60 minutes. GTA will not offer service to GTCC's Jamestown Campus. Regular service on all routes resumes September 8.

Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department's administrative offices, recreation centers, the Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation section, Greensboro Youth Council, Smith and Trotter Active Adult Centers, Xperience @ Caldcleugh, Simkins Indoor Sports Pavilion, and Lake Higgins are closed on September 7. City parks, gardens, trails, cemeteries, the Greensboro Sportsplex, Lake Brandt, Lake Townsend, and the Gillespie Golf Course remain open on their normal operating schedules.

The Melvin Municipal Office Building and J. Edward Kitchen Operations Center are closed to all in-person services on September 7.
