Riyadh-Dentons has advised a consortium comprising The Arab Energy Fund (TAEF) and Zamil Group Investment Company (Zamil) on its strategic minority cross-border investment in CRTS Global, a global provider of pipeline field joint coating solutions, headquartered in Delaware, USA.

CRTS Global operates across a number of international markets, including the Middle East, North America, South America, Asia, West Africa and the North Sea. The group provides internal and external pipeline field joint coating solutions using proprietary robotic tools to apply protective coatings to pipelines used for natural gas, hydrogen, carbon capture, crude oil, potable water and saltwater.

The investment brings together TAEF and Zamil's investment capabilities and regional expertise with CRTS Global's specialist technology and global operations, supporting CRTS's continued growth in the Middle East and internationally amid continued investment in critical energy and pipeline infrastructure.

The Dentons Corporate team advising TAEF and Zamil was led by Ziad Saad (Managing Partner, Riyadh and Jeddah) and Mohamad Al Rifai (Senior Associate, Riyadh), with support from Sara Alfaddagh (Associate, Riyadh), Joelle Salem (Consultant, Middle East) and Jana Al-hindi (Trainee Lawyer, Jeddah).

The Dentons Antitrust team was led by Selman Ansari (Partner, Middle East).

The Dentons US Corporate team was led by Adam Dunst (Partner, New York) with support from Seth Abrams (Managing Associate, New York).

The Dentons US Tax team was led by Rich Williams (Partner, New York).
