Mercyhealth Foundation to Host 2026 House of Mercy Homeless Center Charity Ball

Mercyhealth Foundation is pleased to announce its 2026 House of Mercy Homeless Center Charity Ball.

The event will be held Saturday, October 10, at the Janesville Hotel and Conference Center, Holiday Inn Express, 3100 Wellington Place. This black-tie evening begins at 5 pm with a social hour, hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, followed by a gourmet dinner, music and a collection of outstanding items and packages to bid on. The cost is $150 per person.

Commemorating 30 years of service, the House of Mercy is a 25-bed homeless center that provides homeless families with short-term emergency shelter and access to housing, job placement and child care resources. Since opening in 1996, the center has provided shelter and support to more than 9,300 individuals, many of whom were children.

"The Charity Ball is more than an evening of celebration-it is a reflection of what we can accomplish when our community comes together to support families in need," said Jennifer Johns, Director, Mercyhealth Foundation. "As we celebrate 30 years of serving our community, we are especially excited to honor the countless families who have found safety, support, and hope through the House of Mercy. The 2026 Charity Ball is an opportunity to celebrate this incredible milestone while looking ahead to the future and continuing our commitment to changing lives, one family at a time."

With the generous support of our community, the House of Mercy will continue to provide housing and crucial resources to those in need. Money raised from this night will provide homeless families with individualized success planning, rent deposits, education expense assistance, transportation, child care assistance and other needs.
