Run for the Springs 5K Returns February 28th at Silver Springs State Park

This family-friendly "run for fun" event supports an important environmental and public health cause. All proceeds from the race will go toward grant funding for Marion County residents and businesses to receive septic tank pump-outs and inspections, as well as rebates for septic repair permits.

Marion County's County Engineer, Steve Cohoon explained, "This run provides an environment for our community to come together and have a safe, fun, and hopefully dry (run for fun) event. We enjoy engagement with our community along with helping our environment in Marion County. We appreciate all who come out and participate in this annual event."

Participants who wish to receive a guaranteed race t-shirt must complete registration by January 17. Registration will remain open until the day of the event, but supplies are limited.

Marion County encourages runners of all ages and abilities to participate and invites attendees to bring friends and family to enjoy the scenic surroundings of Silver Springs State Park while supporting a meaningful cause.
