The 2026 Colorado Digital Hay Directory is organized by region and listings include the type and amount of hay available, bale type and size, whether laboratory analysis is available, certified weed free status, and identifies organic hay. The directory has other resources listed for hay donations for dire situations.

"By connecting buyers and sellers directly, we are not only facilitating transactions but also strengthening the vital relationships that underpin Colorado's agricultural economy."

The 2026 edition of the Colorado Hay Directory is entirely digital and features producers and brokers of hay as well as companies that provide hay-related products and services.

Key Features of the Digital Hay Directory:

• Real-Time Listing Updates: Unlike previous printed annual editions, the digital platform allows hay producers to update their available inventory, ensuring buyers don't waste time calling on sold-out stock.
• Comprehensive Filtering: Livestock owners can sort listings by region, forage type (including alfalfa, native grass, and mixes), bale type and size, lab analysis availability, certified weed-free status, and organic certifications.
• Out-of-State Sourcing: Recognizing that drought doesn't stop at state borders, livestock owners can now connect with producers in neighboring states to secure critical supplies.
• Integrated CDA Drought Resources: The CDA Drought Resources webpage connects producers directly to climate monitoring tools, financial assistance programs, and the Colorado Drought Cooperators network.

Make sure you are purchasing hay through a verified seller and do not send money in advance of receiving your hay.
