Grass Valley Launches 4K Broadcast Upgrade Project with Jamuna TV, Pioneering Bangladesh’s First 4K Workflow

MONTREAL, CANADA - October 7, 2025 - Grass Valley, the leading provider of end-to-end live production solutions, today announced it has signed a significant agreement with Jamuna TV, a prominent privately owned news and current affairs channel in Bangladesh, to deliver a fully first native 4K broadcast workflow upgrade.

The project was made possible through close collaboration with Bangladesh Broadcast Systems, a recognized system integrator in the region. Under the leadership of CEO Mr. Atik, the partnership was key to aligning Jamuna TV's operational requirements with Grass Valley's advanced solutions. CTO Masum-ur Rahman played a pivotal role in driving the project forward, providing both strategic direction and technical expertise. Jamuna TV, operated by the Jamuna Group, is a 24-hour news channel renowned for its commitment to advanced broadcast technology, including a fully file-based workflow. Currently broadcasting in HD, Jamuna TV is preparing to transition to 4K to provide viewers with enhanced picture quality and a superior viewing experience that aligns with their vision.

The upgrade project includes deployment of the LDX 98 Native 4K Cameras in Jamuna TV's news and program studios. To elevate 4K production capabilities in the production control rooms (PCR), K-Frame CXP Production Switchers and Korona panels will be installed. Additionally, a 12G Masterpiece Master Control Switcher is implemented in the master control room (MCR) to support a wide range of 4K input sources.

Fiham Ahmed, CEO of Jamuna TV, commented: "This partnership with Grass Valley is a key step in our commitment to innovation. Upgrading to 4K isn't just about resolution, it's about delivering a richer, more immersive experience for our viewers and positioning Jamuna TV at the forefront of the media technology in Bangladesh."

Mr. Atik, CEO of Bangladesh Broadcast Systems, said: "It's been a hands-on, collaborative effort from day one. We worked closely with Jamuna TV and Grass Valley to make sure the technical choices aligned with real operational goals. The result is a solid, forward-looking setup that's ready to support their next chapter."

The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Grass Valley will be showing its end-to-end solutions at Broadcast India in Mumbai between October 14 & 16 on stand D04.
