AAFA Recommends CalRecycle Use the HTS to Define SB 707 Covered Products
During CalRecycle's August 2026 Informal Regulatory Concepts Workshop for the state's textile stewardship program, the Department asked for suggestions on ways to better define the scope of covered products encompassed by the definitions of "textile articles" and "apparel" found in SB 707. AAFA is recommending the department develop a list of applicable HTS codes to provide clarity to all stakeholders about which products are and are not included in the program.
