University of La Verne Student-Athletes Exemplify Excellence in the Classroom

The University of La Verne Athletics Department continues to uphold the institution's mission of academic excellence, with student-athletes demonstrating a strong commitment to success both in the classroom and in athletic competition during the Fall 2025 semester.

The Leopards posted a 3.27 departmental GPA for the Fall 2025 semester and hold a 3.31 cumulative GPA, displaying the dedication La Verne student-athletes bring to balancing the demands of NCAA Division III athletics with rigorous academic expectations.

Women's water polo led all teams academically, recording the highest Fall 2025 team GPA at 3.75 while also earning the highest cumulative GPA in the department at 3.63. Women's soccer and women's basketball followed closely with semester GPAs of 3.68 and 3.65, respectively. The women's swim and dive team currently boasts a cumulative GPA of 3.52.

Among men's programs, men's soccer posted the highest cumulative GPA at 3.43, while men's golf earned the highest Fall 2025 semester GPA at 3.43. Men's cross country finished the term with a 3.34 average and holds a 3.37 cumulative GPA.

"These achievements reflect the commitment our student-athletes make every day to excel in the classroom, in competition, and in their communities," said Dr. Jenna Panatier, Director of Athletics. "Our student-athletes fully embrace the University of La Verne's values by balancing their academic pursuits and their athletic responsibilities. Their successes reflect our culture of integrity, discipline, and pride in representing our institution."

The University of La Verne celebrates the academic achievements of its student-athletes, whose dedication in the classroom mirrors their competitive spirit and reinforces their role as positive ambassadors for the University both on campus and in the community.
