Kirkland Advises Wittington Asset Management on Strategic Minority Investment in Divert

Kirkland & Ellis represented Toronto-based Wittington Asset Management Limited as the sole lead investor in Divert, Inc.'s equity financing. Wittington joins Enbridge Inc., a multinational pipeline and energy company, as a strategic minority investor in Divert, a portfolio company of Ara Partners. Specializing in converting food waste to energy, Divert is among the leading anaerobic digesters of source-separated food waste in the U.S. and one of the only companies to manage food waste both upstream (through waste diversion, analytics and processing) and downstream (through anaerobic digestion and biogas creation).
