The President congratulated Mexico on Independence Day

On Tuesday, President Gitanas Nausėda extended congratulations to the President of Mexico and to all the people of the country on the occasion of Independence Day.

The President expressed his appreciation for the long-standing friendly relations between Lithuania and Mexico. According to Gitanas Nausėda, the close ties between the Mexican community in Lithuania and the Lithuanian community in Mexico further strengthen bilateral relations and inspire new initiatives that promote the well-being of nations. He also noted the considerable potential to expand cooperation in the fields of economy, culture and tourism.

In his message of congratulations, the President emphasized the importance of cooperation in multilateral formats and reiterated Lithuania's strong support for the strategic partnership between the European Union and Mexico. He expressed the hope that the upcoming summit between the European Union and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) in Colombia will contribute to the dynamic development of relations.

The President also called on Mexico to actively support Ukraine in pursuing a comprehensive and sustainable peace agreement grounded in the fundamental norms of international law.

On the occasion of Mexico's national holiday, the President wished the Mexican people continued success, prosperity and strength.
