Allegheny County − June 10, 2026 - Today, Sen. Wayne Fontana announced that several local organizations were awarded a total of $1,344,233 in state grants from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD).
"Violence prevention programming continues to serve as an invaluable tool to improve the safety of our communities," Fontana said. "State investment in organizations and programs that have proven they work is a smart use of tax dollars and I am proud to support these grants."
During its June 10 meeting, the PCCD approved grant awards from multiple funding programs totaling about $20.5 million to organizations and governments across the commonwealth.
The grant awardees that serve Allegheny County include:

Adagio Health, Inc. received a $200,000 grant from the State Substance Abuse Education and Demand Reduction program to expand access to sexual assault prevention in rural Pennsylvania.

Amachi Pittsburgh received a $250,000 grant from the State Violence and Delinquency Prevention program for the Youth Justice Advisory Board.

Boys & Girls Club of Western Pennsylvania received a $195,936 grant from the State Substance Abuse Education and Demand Reduction program for its Future Ready Substance Abuse Prevention Program.

Center for Victims received a $100,000 grant from the State Endowment Act program for child advocacy at UPMC Children's Hospital.

A Child's Place received a $98,654 grant from the State Endowment Act program for Forensic Medial Exam Staff.

Pittsburgh Community Services, Inc. received a $249,644 grant from the State Violence and Delinquency Prevention program for its Roadmap for At-Risk Youth and Their Families.

University of Pittsburgh received a $249,999 grant from the State Violence and Delinquency Prevention program for its Restorative Capacity Building at Northgate.
