Special Representative of the Chinese Government on African Affairs Liu Yuxi Attends Burkina Faso's Independence Day Reception

On December 11, 2025, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on African Affairs Liu Yuxi, upon invitation, attended the reception for the 65th anniversary of Burkina Faso's independence hosted by the Embassy of Burkina Faso in China, and delivered a speech.

Liu Yuxi congratulated Burkina Faso on the 65th anniversary of its independence and noted that since the resumption of diplomatic relations, China-Burkina Faso relations have developed rapidly. Last year, the two countries established a strategic partnership, deepening political mutual trust and achieving fruitful cooperation across various fields. The friendship between the two nations has been increasingly rooted in the hearts of their peoples. In October this year, the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee deliberated and adopted the Recommendations for the 15th Five-Year Plan, and China will bring more opportunities to African countries, including Burkina Faso, in the next five years. China is ready to work with Burkina Faso to continue implementing the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, further strengthen their friendship, promote common development, and better benefit the people of both countries.

Ambassador of Burkina Faso to China Daouda Bitie highly praised the bilateral relationship and expressed gratitude to China for its valuable support in Burkina Faso's economic and social development. He noted that China's rapid development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period will create greater opportunities for China-Africa cooperation, especially for China-Burkina Faso cooperation. Burkina Faso is willing to continue strengthening its friendship with China and deepen practical cooperation, and welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest and do business in the country, contributing to its economic development.
