City of Los Angeles Recycled Water Fill Station Reopens to the Public for 2025

LOS ANGELES (August 1, 2025) - The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) is reopening the City of Los Angeles Recycled Water Fill Station at the Los Angeles-Glendale Water Reclamation Plant (LAG) on Friday, August 1. LADWP residential customers may bring containers to the fill station to pick up recycled water to use for outdoor watering.

The station is located at 4600 Colorado Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90039 and will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Friday. Customers can receive up to 300 free gallons of recycled water per visit, which can be used for landscaping purposes, such as maintaining trees, shrubs, gardens, and lawns. Participants will also learn best practices for using recycled water and how they are supporting water conservation in Los Angeles.

"In our ongoing push to build local water supplies, conserve precious drinking water and keep L.A. water strong, LADWP is pleased to partner with LASAN to offer this service once again," said Anselmo Collins, Senior Assistant General Manager - Water System. "This program serves many of our customers and enables our city residents to live their water conservation values while using recycled water safely and effectively for their landscaping needs. We welcome all Angelenos to come in and fill up!"

To participate in the program, customers must bring their LADWP bill, a government-issued ID and their own water-tight containers to the fill stations. They must also attend a brief, five- minute on-site training on their first visit, and submit a signed application and agreement form. LADWP staff will be on hand to provide further information or answer questions on the use of recycled water.

The station at the LAG will be closed on rainy days and holidays. The City of Los Angeles Recycled Water Filling Station program is a partnership between L.A. Sanitation and Environment (LASAN), and L.A. Recreation and Parks.
