Santa Fe Businesses Selected for Capital Connect Program

Two Santa Fe businesses, The Male Room and Sabo Sage, have been selected to participate in the inaugural cohort of Capital Connect, a new bilingual small business support program launched by the New Mexico Economic Development Department.

Capital Connect brings together 20 small businesses from across New Mexico and is designed to help entrepreneurs overcome barriers to accessing capital through hands-on, culturally responsive support. Beginning January 2026, participating businesses will receive three months of free technical assistance, valued at more than $4,000 per company. Support includes group business workshops, one-on-one financial and technical assistance, guidance with bookkeeping and financial planning, and a fully bilingual learning environment in English and Spanish.

The Male Room, an esthetics and wellness business, and Sabo Sage, a Santa Fe-based botanical and herbal company, were selected based on growth readiness, need for capital-access support, and alignment with the program's focus on very small, minority-owned, and rural businesses. Both businesses also receive ongoing support through the Office of Economic Development and the Small Business Navigator Program, reinforcing Santa Fe's commitment to helping local businesses grow and thrive.
