Senvion India’s 4.2M160 Wind Turbine Receives MNRE ALMM (Wind) Listing

Mumbai, December 31, 2025 - Senvion India is pleased to announce that its new 4.2M160 wind turbine model has been included in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE)'s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) - Wind, issued on 30thDecember 2025

The ALMM (Wind) framework of MNRE, formerly known as the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers (RLMM), streamlines model qualification and strengthen quality assurance for India's rapidly expanding wind energy sector, further the recent changes have sown the seeds for enhancing the localisation to strengthen domestic manufacturing.

With a 4.2 MW rated capacity and a 160-metre rotor diameter, the Senvion 4.2M160 is now listed for hub heights up to 140 metres, enabling its deployment in full compliance with MNRE's model listing requirements.

Additionally, Senvion India has already secured firm orders exceeding 600 MW for the 4.2M160 turbine, along with a long-term framework agreement of 2 GW spread across three years, underscoring strong customer confidence in the platform.
