CSX Closing a Portion of North Galloway Road for Railway Repairs

Bartow, Fla. (Sept. 30, 2026) - CSX Transportation will close the North Galloway Road rail crossing located between Kathleen Road and Mount Tabor Road in Lakeland at noon on Thursday, Oct. 1 for railway repairs.

All lanes of travel across the tracks will be closed until repairs are completed. The rail crossing is anticipated to reopen by 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2.

Residents are asked to plan alternative routes as needed.
