Deceased individual identified from fatal crash at Colorado Avenue and 32nd Street
On August 31, 2025, at approximately 12:20 AM, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) received a call for service regarding a traffic crash near the intersections of West Colorado Avenue and 32nd Street. Responding officers found that a motorcycle had struck a curb prior to leaving the roadway. The rider of the motorcycle was found deceased at the scene.
Due to the nature of the crash, CSPD's Major Crash Team responded to conduct the investigation. No other injuries were reported. The initial investigation revealed that speed does appear to be a contributing factor in the crash.
On September 1st, 2025, the El Paso County Coroner's Office conducted an autopsy on the deceased motorcyclist and identified him as 28-year-old Dylan Hart.
This was the 39th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs this year. At this time last year, there were 37 traffic fatalities. In the past 365 days, there have been 51 traffic fatalities.
