The Joliet Junior College (JJC) Foundation hosted its annual Night of Stars celebration, honoring outstanding community members, alumni and partners whose contributions have made a lasting impact on the College and its students.
Held at the Main Campus, the event recognized the generosity of donors and the achievements of individuals who exemplify the College's mission of excellence in education, leadership and service.
Kristi Mulvey, executive director of institutional advancement, opened the evening with heartfelt remarks, reflecting on her 25-year career at JJC as she prepares for retirement at the end of the year.
"It has been an honor to share in these celebrations and to see firsthand the difference our donors and award recipients make in the lives of our students," Mulvey said.
The evening featured the presentation of four prestigious awards:

JJC president Dr. Clyne Namuo presented the evening's awards, joined by President Emeritus J.D. Ross and President Emerita Dr. Judy Mitchell, who assisted in honoring the recipients of their respective namesake awards and celebrating the accomplishments of all honorees.
The event also highlighted the transformative impact of donor support.
In 2024, the JJC Foundation awarded nearly $1.2 million in scholarships, and its assets are now total close to $50 million. A major milestone was the announcement of the Dr. Curtis J. and Mrs. Gina Crawford Honors College, made possible by a $1.79 million gift from the Crawfords.
"Thank you for your generosity, your belief in our mission and the countless ways you've helped transform lives," Mulvey said. "From the bottom of my heart, thank you for walking this journey with me."
