President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a video call with envoys of the President of the United States, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte also joined the conversation.
In particular, they discussed Ukraine's proposal for a ceasefire during the Easter holidays. The President emphasized that a ceasefire during Easter could be the signal that tells everyone - diplomacy can succeed.
They also had a detailed discussion on how to strengthen diplomacy, what steps are possible, as well as security guarantees and the involvement of Europeans.
"We agreed to strengthen security guarantees, and I have already instructed our team to promptly update the documents so that the security guarantees for Ukraine are strong, the prospects for post-war reconstruction are real, and everything is doable," the President stressed.
The Head of State thanked the envoys of the U.S. President for their work in finding the right decisions. Ukraine appreciates every effort America makes to forge a dignified peace.
"I expect that the teams will work substantively in the coming days so that we can all feel progress. A trilateral format is important - a leaders' format - all of this is necessary," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
