Closures On State Routes 99 And Interstate 5

Stanislaus County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct various lane and ramp closures next week on State Route 99 (SR-99) and Interstate 5 (I-5). Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 99

• Overnight full closure of the northbound Kansas Avenue on-ramp in Modesto for bridge work beginning Sunday, November 9, through Friday, November 14, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
• Long-term, full closure of the Enoch Christoffersen Rest Areas in Turlock for maintenance work. A reopening date is currently unknown.

Interstate 5

• Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
  Note: This project is expected to continue through the spring of 2026.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
