October 7, 2025 - ROCHESTER, MINN. - The City of Rochester invites the community to its second annual Snow Summit on Saturday, October 25, at the Public Works and Transit Operations Center. This family-friendly, free event is designed to help the community prepare for the winter season.
"This event is a great opportunity for residents to gain a deeper understanding of how we handle winter weather," said Jake Busho, City of Rochester Street Maintenance Supervisor. "By sharing how we respond to snow and ice, we hope to help everyone stay prepared and keep our community safe, mobile and ready when winter weather arrives."

Saturday, October 25
9 a.m. to Noon
Event parking is at Foster Arend Park (4051 E River Road NE).
A complimentary shuttle will transport attendees to the event.
Snow Summit attendees can explore a variety of exhibits focused on snow removal practices, snow and ice safety tips, winter preparedness and winter activities. The event will showcase the tools and machinery used to keep roads clear and safe, including snowplows and other winter maintenance vehicles.
Representatives from various organizations, including multiple City Departments, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Minnesota Department of Transportation, Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service, Family Service Rochester, Minnesota Energy Resources and the Minnesota State Patrol, will be on hand to provide live demonstrations, answer questions and share expert advice on how to stay safe and ready during the winter months.
