More than 550 students had an opportunity to network with leading national and global employers seeking to advance their professional careers.
Baruch College's Fall 2025 Virtual Job and Internship Fair proved to be an invaluable launchpad for undergraduates ready to take the next step in their professional journeys.
Hosted by the Starr Career Development Center on September 26, the event connected more than 550 students with 42 leading employers across a diverse range of industries-from finance and technology to government, media and nonprofit sectors.
AIG, Barclays, Chimera Securities, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Pfizer, and the NYC Office of Chief Medical Examiner were among the top recruiters connecting with students.
"This fair gives students ideal opportunities to explore industries, network, and discover what employers are looking for," said Michael Kalish, senior associate director at Baruch's Starr Center.
Kalish noted the virtual format, via the interactive Handshake platform, makes networking easier for students: no lines, flexible one-on-one meetings, and group sessions on company culture and deadlines.
Students praised the fair for its accessibility and the chance to have substantive conversations with employers.
"I had a great time speaking to accounting firms that were more niche," said an accounting student who met with five employers.
Another student, a transfer who engaged with four companies, shared that the one-on-one sessions were "informative and provided valuable insight into each organization."
The Starr Career Development Center and the Graduate Career Management Center are launching a new series of Employer Expos, replacing individual information sessions with interactive networking events where students can meet recruiters from multiple industries in one setting.
For nearly 20 years, the award-winning Starr Career Development Center has empowered undergraduates to explore career pathways, gain professional experience and a competitive edge in the job market, while connecting with New York City and national employers.
