November 6, 2025 Governor Patrick Morrisey Orders Flags Lowered to Honor the Life and Service of Dick Cheney ...

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Governor Patrick Morrisey has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff to honor the life and service of the 46th Vice President of the United States, Dick Cheney.

"Dick Cheney committed decades of his life to the service of our nation," said Governor Morrisey. "From the Department of Defense to the Vice Presidency, he was a formidable leader with a deep sense of duty and conviction. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Cheney family during this time of loss."

The order begins at noon on Thursday, November 6, 2025, and remains in place until sunset on the day of interment.
